The week of May 6-10, 2008

 

Matthew 25:24-25 MSG  "The servant given one thousand said, 'Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error.  (25)  I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.'

What are you good at? What talents do you have?  I am blessed with many talents.  Writing and webpage design are just a couple.  I had quit writing for a while, so I did get a bit rusty, but when I stared back at using my talents, they came back.  In the story, of the three men given talents from their master, two decided to use what was given them; however one man hid his talent. And it was taken away from him:  “Take away, then, his talent and give it to him who has the ten talents.  (Matthew 25:28 BBE)”

This week I explored with my web design talent and found something new.  I found out an easier way to update web pages.  So don’t waste what God gives you, USE IT, to honor HIM. And he will be pleased.  God will trust you with more talents, only IF you use the ones he has already given to you.
